Should I buy a Yamaha electronic drum kit or an Alesis?

I'm getting somewhere around 600 dollars soon and I realy need an electronic drum kit I can use for death metal and play in my apartment and the ones I was looking at where the ALESIS DM5 Pro and the YAMAHA DTXPLORER.

WHICH SHOULD I GET?

I would go with the DTXplorer because the Mylar heads on the Alesis DM5 makes the kit loud where as the rubber is more silent. Also you would need to buy a double pedal for your drums. I recommend the Pearl P902.
P.S. if you can save up a bit

Try Electronic Drum Kits Before You Buy

Yamaha Music UK have announced a Try Before You Buy loan scheme for their top of the range DTX 900 series electronic drum kits, designed to offer potential customers the chance to gain a deeper experience of what the series has to offer.
The innovative four-month program goes live on December 1st, is completely free of charge and is without obligation. Its aim is to allow customers the opportunity to use a DTX900 series kit, set up by trained staff from Yamaha's dealer network, for up to 7 Days so they can evaluate the instrument and suitability for their use and ambitions in their own environment.
Yamaha believe that demand will be very high and tell us that the loan stock is inevitably limited.

Yamaha's Gavin Thomas told us, "Try Before You Buy' is a good opportunity for people who are considering the investment of High End electronic drum set but have not had the time to uncover what the DTX900 series can offer. This is a high value purchase and we want to support our customers by giving this opportunity without any obligation."

Yamaha DTXPLORER Drum Kit Review - Electronic Drum Set

I first got interested in playing drums when I visited a mate of mine who was literally obsessed with playing. He could literally play for hours and after watching him, I soon became addicted too.

When it came to learning to play the drums, I was pretty useless at first, but with the help of this online course, I became better. Click here to read more about Music Master Pro on their website.
