I have heard alot about boss audio brand lately i was wondering if there was a person that owns an amp or a cd player w/ video what there feelings on the quality.
Boss is very low end. Usually the sign of quality is an amp that's CEA-2006 compliant.

After stepping into the big chair at NPR almost a year ago, Gary Knell says one of his first priorities was to “smash together the digital and so-called audio journalists.” That’s less of a violent collision and more of vision statement about NPR’s future. Speaking at the Nieman Foundation last week, the NPR CEO said “we should eliminate these distinctions. Because, really, the audience doesn’t view news that way anymore.”
When Knell joined an NPR that was fresh off a scandal that claimed several executives (including the previous CEO ) and cast a cloud over funding from federal and private sources. In a scenario like that righting the ship would seem to be the first job. But Knell said he wanted to continue to push NPR to innovate while stabilizing its support network .
The two go hand-in-hand, Knell said. In order for NPR to not just survive but grow, they’ll need to keep delivering news and other programming that can’t be found elsewhere on all platforms. Staying competitive in the broader radio and news landscape is how NPR will ensure its sustainability, Knell said. “If you’re just serving up fare that the marketplace is also serving up there is no reason for a public subsidy. And that’s just true, in general, of anything in my opinion,” Knell said.
The GOOD: These speakers have a nice bass response, which I’m sure will get even better when I -eventually- get an amp for them. The tweeters and mid-range are very high performance. They may not be Polk or Pioneer, but they are very good speakers for the average person.
The BAD: The tweeters start to distort like crazy if you turn up the bass on your deck to even +1. If you have an independent subwoofer and amp, this is no problem as you can turn up the gain or up the bass booster settings (if available). Again, I’m sure the quality of the bass will increase if I hook them up to a two-channel amp, but the lack inability to increase the bass from the deck is a minor drawback. Also, twisting on the nuts requires two people: one person to hold the offset screwdriver, and one person to take a wrench and lay in the trunk and twist the nut on. Still good speakers, though.
The UGLY: These are two personal problems, as The UGLIES usually are, and probably won’t apply to everyone. 1) In my ’00 Accord, the right passenger seatbelt is covered by a large piece of plastic that is also the speaker grill. I have no idea why Honda decided to inseparably connect two important, but individual, ascetic features, but whatever. So I had to cut the factory grill/seatbelt thingy off because this speaker wouldn’t fit under it, and now there’s some ugly metal and plastic exposed. In general, replacing factory speakers isn’t always made easy by the manufacturer. 2) The magnet of the midrange speaker somehow disconnected from the metal bracket that holds it above the speaker, so whenever the midrange or woofer moved, it rattled. This was definitely not my fault – it came like that out of the box. It was easily fixed by some carefully placed superglue, but still annoying.
